Do you know how carton boxes are recycled?

Carton box is typically made of paperboard and occasionally corrugated fibreboard. The packaging industry uses a variety of carton types.

Paperboard, which makes up 70–90% of the material used to make cartons, is recyclable just like other types of paper or card. As cartons are made of high-quality materials, it is beneficial to remanufacture them into new items.

At YES Full Circle Solutions, we collect cartons of different composition. The carton boxes are segregated and baled for easy transportation and handling of the materials. The same is then transported to downstream where it is converted to a new finished product.

For every ton of recycled cartons,

  • Saves roughly about 5,000 kilowatts of energy and 380–475 gallons of oil and other fossil fuels are roughly saved
  • 7,000 gallons of water is saved during the pulping process for manufacturing cardboards.
  • 3 cubic yards of landfills is preserved.

Recycling of carton boxes has a positive impact on environment, reduces the need to cut down the trees to produce more of raw materials for cardboard production and hereby becomes a fundamental solution to environmental conservation by preserving the natural resource and reducing the amount of waste that is incinerated or sent to landfill. More energy will be saved by recycling cartons than by creating new ones from scratch.

Recycling Carton is done to keep our environment clean and green.

By giving new life to cartons, it will conserve energy, lessen waste, and make better use of recyclable materials than the cartons getting up ended in a landfill.

Recycle today’s materials to protect the resources for tomorrow
